About this Surf Camp

The Surfbase Vieux Boucau is a cosy surf hostel in the centre of Vieux-Boucau-les-Bains, a laid-back beach town on the Landes coast of southwest France. Run by the SurfBlend team from the Netherlands & Belgium, it fits up to 15 guests — small enough that everyone knows each other by the second morning. The beach is a 15-minute walk through town, and the legendary waves of Hossegor and Capbreton are 20 minutes down the coast.

The house has a bar with a courtyard terrace where most evenings end up, a comfortable living room for rainy days, and a breakfast spread every morning with fresh bread, juice, muesli and unlimited coffee. Linen, towels and WiFi are included, along with free use of skateboards, longboards and beach games. Tourist tax is covered too — no surprise costs.

Rooms range from private doubles to a five-person group room and a social dorm with custom cocoon-style bunks. The camp runs Saturday to Saturday (7 or 14 nights) from mid-June through mid-September. Optional surf lessons, equipment rental and group dinners are available to add on.

Reserve your spot with a 30% deposit, and you've got 48 hours to change your mind for a full refund. Beyond that, you can still cancel free of charge up to 6 weeks before check-in.
