Oceana Inn Maldives – Surf Camp Kudahuvadhoo

Kudahuvadhoo is an inhabited Maldivian island, not a resort isle. You’ll find local restaurants a few streets back, sunrise and sunset beaches on either side of the island, ancient Buddhist ruins worth a wander, and a 7-minute boat ride to Valla — an uninhabited stretch of white sand for picnics, snorkeling, and bikini-friendly swimming.

The surf is the headline. Hadigilla is regularly called the longest ride in the Maldives — 3-minute rides during south-east swells, with barreling sections when the reef lines up just right. Around 10 sections on a good day. The camp runs daily boat trips, rents boards for the week, and offers lessons for anyone still learning to read the reef.

Meals are full board — three a day with fresh fish, plus a welcome drink and a cozy dining space under the open sky. Bikes are on hand for the village. Foosball and billiards under the big breadfruit tree for slow afternoons. Dolphin watching, night fishing with a BBQ on the boat, and sandbank picnics on stretches of white sand surrounded by sea — the atoll has more to offer than the wave alone.

Note on local taxes: Maldivian tourism taxes (TGST 17% and Green Tax USD 6 per person per night) are payable on arrival, separate from your Waverick booking. Domestic flights from Malé to Kudahuvadhoo (USD 260 per person round-trip) are arranged separately with the camp.
