About this Surf Camp

Ilyana Surf House is a traditional Moroccan riad in the old medina of Rabat — ten minutes on foot from the beach, right next to the Kasbah des Oudaias. Run by Ilyass (local surfer, 12+ years teaching) and Nina (Dutch adventurer), the house takes a small group of guests at a time. It’s surf coaching and Moroccan culture in one of Africa’s most underrated capital cities.

The setup is simple. Wake up, eat a proper Moroccan breakfast on the patio, and head to the beach for your surf session. Lunch is included on surf days, and dinner is home-cooked by Ilyass’s family — traditional Moroccan dishes served around a shared table (every night except Wednesday). The riad has a roof terrace for winding down between sessions, and the medina is right outside the door.

Rabat’s coastline has more variety than most people expect. The main beach break is a short walk away, but the crew also takes you to spots like Plage des Nations, Medhya, and Bouznika depending on conditions. Sessions run twice a day. Pick Surf Coaching if you want to fast-track your progression — the coach watches from the beach, films you, then breaks the footage down in evening review sessions (you keep the videos). Or go for Surf Guiding if you want a local who reads tide, wind, and swell to take you to the right spot — entry and exit explained, then it’s all you. Materials, transfer, two sessions a day, and a lunch box are included on every package.

Cancellation Policy

Free trip changes up to 7 days before arrival. Cancellations are charged: 10% if cancelled 56+ days before arrival, 20% (29-55 days), 40% (14-28 days), 70% (8-13 days), and 100% if cancelled within 7 days of arrival or during the trip.

Check-in from 14:00. Check-out before 11:00. Airport pickup from Rabat-Sale airport is included with all packages.

Minimum stay of 3 nights. Standard booking is 6 nights with 5 surf days.

What's Included
